  1. High School diploma preferred.
  2. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English, follow written and verbal instructions and complete high school level computational skills
  3. 1-2 year’s food production experience, in health care environment desirable, but not required.
  4. Reading, writing and math skills required.
  5. Be able to interact with customers with patience and tact.

General Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrates knowledge of food preparation for modified diets based upon restrictions relating to age, nutrient and texture modifications. Able to explain food safety issues
    appropriate for age.
  2. Adheres to Compass Park Department Policy and Procedures on Universal Precautions and patient isolation.
  3. Communicates any resident / employee related problems to appropriate personnel.
  4. Ability to take orders, enter them into POS system. Ability to give excellent customer service.
  5. Uses all PPE personal protective equipment correctly.
  6. Follows Board of Health and department sanitation procedures and maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.
  7. Accurately inventories and maintains necessary supplies to ensure efficiency of retail operation.
  8. Maintains work station and production area in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
  9. Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals used, following directions recommended by manufactures and per MSDS sheets.
  10. The ability to uphold Compass Park standards of customer service

    • Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.
    • Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
  5. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress code including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned
